June 6, 1942 B-17's maintain search out of Midway. Six of the heavy bombers mistakenly attack U.S. submarine, which later reports no damage. More B-17's arrive on Midway from Oahu.
June 6, 1942 Various bomber search attack missions are flown in an attempt to contact the fleet reported near Seguam Island. No contact is made due to weather. Eight P-38's en route from Cold Bay to Umnak mistakenly attack a U.S.S.R. feighter. Japanese begin to land on Kiska.
